This program is supported by the State of Michigan through the Martin Luther King Jr. – César Chávez – Rosa Parks Initiative (KCP) Select Student Support Services (4S) Grant.
The King-Chávez-Parks Initiative is a State of Michigan program designed to increase college access, retention, and graduation rates for academically or economically disadvantaged students.
A Career Development Navigator provides individualized mentoring and career development support to help students explore career pathways, prepare professional materials, and connect with internships and professional opportunities.
The program supports students who may face academic or economic barriers to completing college, including many first-generation college students and Pell-eligible students.
Students can participate in mentoring, career workshops, resume reviews, networking opportunities, job shadowing experiences, and career exploration programs.
Students can contact the Career Development Navigator or the Career Development office to learn more about available opportunities.
