Proposals Now Being Accepted
As part of The University of Olivet’s ongoing commitment to the local community, President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D., is pleased to announce that online proposals are being accepted for The University of Olivet Community Initiative Grant program. The University will consider and fund proposals from non-profit and civic organizations with a primary purpose of supporting and enriching the Olivet community and its citizens. Grants will range from $250 to $5,000.
Eligibility Checklist
- An organization holding a current tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, listed on the IRS Master File and conducting activities within the United States, classified as a public charity under Section 509(a)(1), (2) or (3) (Types I or II).
- A recognized government entity: state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments, that are requesting funds exclusively for public purposes.
- A K-12 public or nonprofit private school or a church or other faith-based organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, and clothing closets.
Proposals must be received by January 31, 2024. Grant recipients will be announced in March.
